Acknowledgment of university degree
To meet the provisions of Article 1 of Decree No. 099 of 21/12/2005, graduate programs should inform the number of master's degrees and doctorate awarded by foreign HEI recognized in the year earlier, according to § 3 of Article 48 of Law 9394 of 20 December 1996.)
Revalidation of Diplomas to have National validity
The processes for the recognition of master's and doctoral degrees obtained abroad must meet the specifications of Resolution 35/2004 of the UFES Teaching and Research Council.
The documentation for opening the case must be organized in the following order:

Application completed in accordance with Annex I of Resolution 35/2004

Certified copy of the undergraduate diploma (front and back)

Certified copy of the postgraduate diploma to be recognized (front and back). It should be checked whether the diploma's authenticity has been attested by the Brazilian consular authority WHERE it was issued.

Certified copy of the certified translation of the diploma to be recognized.

Certified copy of the academic record of the courses or disciplines taken during graduate school and which are necessary to obtain the title to be recognized.

Declaration and evidence from the applicant about the time of effective stay in the country WHERE the course was held. Passport copies must be legible and without erasures

Copy of the minutes of defense of the dissertation or thesis with identification of the components of the examining board and the result of the evaluation.

Document on the foreign institution WHERE the course was held, indicating the characteristics of the course, the selection procedures and the deadlines and requirements for the defense of a dissertation or thesis.

Certified copy of proof of receipt of grant from funding agency (Capes, CNPq, Fapes, etc.), if applicable.

Menu of courses taken or other activities performed that have contributed to the acquisition of credits necessary to complete the course.

A copy of the dissertation or thesis.

Original of the payment slip for the diploma recognition fee.
Fee payment:
a) Amount: R$ 1,250.00 for a master's degree and R$ 2,000.00 for a doctorate (Resolution 21/2012 CUn / UFES).
b) To print the ticket, access the address: http://www.prograd.ufes.br/diplomas/ies_estrangeira.htm. In the middle of the screen click on “Boleto Bancário request”. On the new screen, click on “make request”. Follow the instructions for filling and printing the GRU.
Note: The process should only begin with the complete documentation. The initial analysis of merit in relation to the recognition of degrees (master's and doctorate) is the responsibility of the Collegiate of Postgraduate Programs that have courses in the same area and level already recognized by CAPES and the National Council of Education.
