Summary: The Innovation Ecosystems are configured as environments with the existence of a dynamic of interaction between different actors in the research for the development of innovations in a scenario of innovative entrepreneurship. In such a way, the present dissertation consists, first, of a theoretical contextualization of the concepts of technological innovations and of the main actors that make up an innovation ecosystem, such as: startups, technology parks, accelerators and incubators, venture capital, among others. Following these aspects, the primary objective of the research is to demonstrate the performance of the ACATE connection institution, from the State of Santa Catarina, to later obtain a comparison in terms of analogy to highlight the Espírito Santo institutions that operates in a similar way. In order to accomplish that, interviews were conducted from a questionnaire of eleven questions for members of four institutions in the State of Espírito Santo: ACT! ON; Sebrae-ES; Assespro; Moqueca Valley (VAMO). In this context, the results obtained reveal that even though all institutions have programs similar to those of ACATE, none of them carry out all the functions that the Santa Catarina entity, however, it is observed through the interviews, that the existence of a specific institution such as ACATE is not essential in relation to the identification and atuation of certain gaps of the innovation ecosystem under analysis, since each one presents different demands and unique regional contexts, and institutions like the ones mentioned above are important for carrying out crucial activities for the ecosystem, including collaborating to increase the connection between the agents.
